Fighting for Young Lives – The Dachshunds need Our Help
Posted June 11, 2015
We’re supporting Denver Dachshund Rescue and Transport this month with Hump Day is Help Day*, but we need to go the extra mile to help these special dogs this month…
Five new puppies just arrived to the group from another center. Two of the young dogs were infected with Parvo, an infectious virus that affects the intestines and can lead to cardiac problems and death in young animals. This virus is spreading through the group, with a third diagnosed today and the last two exhibiting signs of the virus.
So we’re asking you to open your hearts to help Denver Dachshund Rescue and Transport and these young puppies fight for a healthy and happy life. DDRT is currently facing veterinary bills near $5,000, and likely to rise as the virus spreads.
If you have it in your hearts, please visit the fundraiser at YouCaring.com to make a donation – any amount will help.
Even if you are not able to contribute, please share this post and the link with your friends. The dogs need our help, so it’s time to pull together as a community and show some compassion for the dogs.
*All of the money raised with this month’s Hump Day is Help Day will support this group and the dogs they serve.
